We will be sharing some awesome strategies to get you and your kiddos out the door. And sure I have days that

REVIEW: Lollipop Baby Camera
Although my kiddos are no longer babies, we still use a baby monitor. We moved to a new house a while back, and it's a lot bigger than our old townhouse. This house has 5 floors, so to say it kinda freaks me out not knowing what the kids are doing is an understatement LOL. And it's not that I don't trust these two monkeys. It's that this little guy of mine gets into everything. He is in the midst of toddlerhood and tries to get into as much mischief as possible. I mean litera

Bonding with my babies
Being a working mama it's super hard to really enjoy it all, especially during the work week, it's tough. Not only are the days really fast paced, it's wake up, make breakfast, getting the kiddos lunches prepped for school, etc. It's a whole lot even before we head out the door. I have been trying super hard to be more mindful and spend more in the moment experiences with my kids. We try to do these special things to stay connected with one another. Especially when I'm solo p

Summer Literacy
During the summer break it's always hard to stay indoors and do some reading or literacy games to keep the kiddos fresh so once school resumes it won't be such a hard adjustment to start doing all the "boring" stuff as they call it. So I made some fun games that we did throughout the summer. Like this one for instance I made flash cards of upper and lower case alphabet letter into a matching game. Find the corresponding upper and lower case of each letter. Well this turned in

Importance of skincare
Skin care has been so important and it was all so much more important to me once I became pregnant with my little girl; I wanted to use the most natural and safe products while I was pregnant. Raising Happy Confident kids
As Tuyet has gotten older, we've really made great efforts instill values to build up her confidence and ensure that most of the time she is truly happy, sure she'll have her moments of melt downs and sadness over certain things, but we always instilled in her that these things will pass, and you won't always feel like this forever. So I wanted to share this amazing book called "I like myself" by Karen Beaumont and I have a link here for the board book version for the younger

Toddler tornado
Growing up you could always find me behind a great book, literally my nose right in it, just enthralled of what's to come in the story. And that love for reading and learning as only become much more apparent now that I've become a mama. Once learning I was pregnant I literally researched and read almost all the pregnancy, labor and delivery books that were out there. I've borrowed books upon books at the local library just wanting to know it all. Now mind you I've been a tea

Puzzles galore
So we've been a little MIA on here because of all the moving, packing, unpacking, caring for two kiddos, etc. So I've had little to no time to do anything else. We are finally settled in and after unpacking, the kiddos have regained their love for puzzles and it's been non stop putting the puzzles into the right spot and dumping it all out and starting over again. Gosh can we take a second from the puzzles talk for a minute and talk about how big baby boy is. Also he hates be

Balance "motherhood"
I wanted to talk all about the struggles of finding some "balance" in motherhood, it's always a tough thing to accomplish, trying to get this motherhood thing down and still be "you" at the same time. After watching this great video on youtube all about this lifestyle called "How to hygge (which is pronounced "Hoo-gah") all about comfort living, there must be something to this danish style of living because it's said that they're the most happy people on this planet. So onto

More kids????
We are at this moment in time when we are thinking of having more kids and one of my fears is post-partum depression. I do want to have more kids, our plan was always to have at least one more baby. The first time (because there was a second) I suffered from postpartum depression was about 2.5 years ago. I remember crying a lot for no apparent reason, feeling so alone and sad. I couldn't understand why I was so sad and felt so alone. Here I was a mama of two beautiful kids, s

DIY cleaning Recipes
For the New Year instead of making unrealistic goals I stick with things that I know I can stick with. And one goal is to start making my own cleaning products and stay away from the chemically stuff at the grocery stores. I am sharing some great recipes that are safe for your kiddos to join in if they'd want to help with the cleaning. Fresh Lemon degreaser - 2 cups of water - 2 tbsp of lemon juice - 1/2 of Dr. Bonner's Castile soap - 1 tbsp of baking soda All purpose cleaner

New Years with Kids
Now that we're a family of four and family time is so special. We've decided to spend it with the kids instead of going out. I found some great ideas to make it a fun experience for the kiddos. We are definitely going to do a fun dress up session before the party begins. Bring out the tiaras, dresses, little tuxedos for my little guy. We're also going to make some fun drinks that everyone can have. The kiddos love anything pineapple or mango. So were mixing some pineapple jui

Tuyet's Aquarium Birthday
After months of going back and forth with a fun theme for Tuyet's 6th birthday, we went from Shopkins to The little mermaid and ended up with going to the Vancouver Aquarium. One of the drawbacks of having a December baby is that a lot of people aren't available to come and join the festivities with the Christmas holiday, family vacations and Christmas break. We decided to go low key and spend it with just the four of us exploring the aquarium. Tuyet had so much fun walking a

It's been cold and snowy here in British Colombia which we normally don't ever get, but I cannot believe I'm saying this but I actually miss the rain. We are in full swing of Christmas break. One great perk of being a teacher is getting christmas break, spring break and of course summer break. We have been busy doing so much things that's happening around our neighbourhood. I wanted to share some fun ideas that don't cost a whole lot and make some great family memories. 1. Be

Bad mom
These past couple of weeks have been really hard... I've been solo parenting while hubs is working long days in the city I've been manning the house solo. And more than I'd like to admit, I've done some yelling and loss my sh*t a few too many times. And I've been feeling like the worse mama. At the end of most nights I'm laying in bed and feeling so guilty of how I should of handled the whole situation instead of yelling at my little girl. Some nights I've cried as I looked a
