Bad mom
These past couple of weeks have been really hard... I've been solo parenting while hubs is working long days in the city I've been manning the house solo. And more than I'd like to admit, I've done some yelling and loss my sh*t a few too many times. And I've been feeling like the worse mama. At the end of most nights I'm laying in bed and feeling so guilty of how I should of handled the whole situation instead of yelling at my little girl. Some nights I've cried as I looked a

Through my research years back, I'd come across this ABC kids expo and I always look forward to this expo. I will be sharing some great

Allergy Awareness
I didn't know how much food could be harmful until my little girl had her first allergy reaction when she was four years old. Up until then we never had an allergy scare or anything close to a food reaction. We have been a family that tried many different kinds of foods and being a multi-cultural family we eat so many different dishes. My husband is Jamaican and I am Vietnamese so we have so many types of meals that being made in our household. Some of my little girl's favour

Selfish mama???
No one ever tells you how truly selfless it is to be a mom. Sure they tell you how amazing motherhood is and how it's changed your life for the better, but what they don't tell you is how your never going to the bathroom alone, your bed is no longer yours or that most of your meals are the kiddos leftovers. Now I don't want to scare you off and have you think okay motherhood sucks, it's true motherhood is so amazing. It has truly changed my life and not to sound like a cliche

Now that we're back into full swing of school and fall weather is in full effect, my mama uniform has definitely shifted a bit. Goodbye to easy summer dresses or throwing on shorts and tank tops (insert sad face) now it's all about layers without looking bulky and still trying to look semi-put together. I wanted to share some things that have really helped with the ease of putting together an effortless no brainer mom uniform. Without having to wear sweatpants and oversized s

Everything Colic
When your baby is around three weeks old or in my case it started as soon as we got home from the hospital, some things you may notice are sudden bouts of crying for absolutely no reason and nothing seems to make it stop; I tried all sorts of things to help this little guy feel better, you name it I tried it. In the midst of it all it was quite stressful, and being a mama the second time around I thought I had a good idea of how to care for a baby, I was so wrong, this little

What's in my diaper bag
This is my diaper bag that I immediately bought after we found out we we're pregnant with baby boy I knew what I needed and what I was looking for. And this bag held up so well. It's been greatly used and loved. This bag does look it, but it was big enough to be used for two kids. I was able to fit everything I needed for a newborn and a 3 year old. This bag has so many great features, it has two insulated bottle hidden bottle holders on each side of the diaper bag, all the c

5 things to look for when shopping post-partum
1. First tip is to look for bottoms that have lots of stretch because even after you loose the baby weight, you can still rock those amazing pants because of all the stretch it'll still mold to your body. Another awesome tip, look for pants with elastic waist bands, so they don't dig into your stomach especially after having baby, you want the stomach area to be comfy. Especially now with joggers, jeggings, pajama type bottoms and leggings are trendy you can rock it for a whi

Easy Fitness for busy moms
Working out has never been something that I would priority on, well okay let's be honest working out doesn't make it on my to do list for the day. But recently I had gotten really sick (hospitalized sick) that made me really rethink my whole lifestyle. Albeit eating healthy for myself and my family has always been important. Ride or Die Mama items
After two kids, I wanted to share some lifesaving items that have really helped with two kids. It was really hard, but I narrowed it down to my top 7 items that I just couldn't live without. 1. First one has to be the Uppa baby vista, it has been through two kiddos and it still has no signs of wearing out on me anytime soon. This stroller can hold up to 3 kids, so it's definitely a keeper. I used this stroller for a little over 5 years and I have switched out the seat lining

Easier Mornings (Back to school)
I wanted to continue this back to school series with some great tips for a smooth morning routine. Now that it's my second year of doing back to school with my little girl these strategies have really helped in the morning routine to get us out the door with ease. 1. Become a pro at pack lunches If you have time the night before while your making dinner, it would be a great time to prepare the kiddos lunches for the next day. If you do choose to pack lunches the night before

Back to School for Moms
Yep you read that right back to school for moms, fashion that is. Especially for me, I am a preschool teacher and I have been teaching for over 10 years now, so back to school has been a constant in my life LOL. Apart of the back to school process, besides getting my little girl ready is to get some things ready for myself as well. I got some great pieces to add to my wardrobe like this amazing backpack (going with the trend, which I think is going to stick around for awhile)

Post Partum Acne
Ever since having my second baby I have been struggling with post-partum acne. Although it's been two years since having the little guy, my hormones and skin haven't gone back to normal (my pregnancy). And especially with breastfeeding I was looking for the most organic or natural things to use so not to interfere with baby. I have tried so many and I think I have found the right skincare routine for me. I started using the Burt's bees skincare line that's specifically for ac

Uppa Baby Vista Stroller Review
I have this stroller for a long time and its endured all sorts of weather. We used it in the East coast where it rained and snowed, but please keep in mind that it didn't bode to well for the heavy snow, the tires couldn't quite get through all the snow. During those blizzards I either stayed inside or used my baby jogger instead, because the wheels on the jogger are substantially bigger to get through the snow. Now that we live in the West coast in beautiful British Colombia
