A few things I've learned about being a mom
Becoming a mom has been the most rewarding and hard thing I have ever done in my life. Not to sound cliche, but from the moment they both came into this world my world changed forever. I was on high alert from every whimper and cry I would run to their crib ro ake sure theyvwe're okay. I'd watch them sleep making sure they we're breathing, literally waiting to watch their cheat rise up and down. You'd never think that having a baby poop and pee would be your major discussion

Toddler tornado
Growing up you could always find me behind a great book, literally my nose right in it, just enthralled of what's to come in the story. And that love for reading and learning as only become much more apparent now that I've become a mama. Once learning I was pregnant I literally researched and read almost all the pregnancy, labor and delivery books that were out there. I've borrowed books upon books at the local library just wanting to know it all. Now mind you I've been a tea

New Years with Kids
Now that we're a family of four and family time is so special. We've decided to spend it with the kids instead of going out. I found some great ideas to make it a fun experience for the kiddos. We are definitely going to do a fun dress up session before the party begins. Bring out the tiaras, dresses, little tuxedos for my little guy. We're also going to make some fun drinks that everyone can have. The kiddos love anything pineapple or mango. So were mixing some pineapple jui

Christmas Break fun
It's been cold and snowy here in British Colombia which we normally don't ever get, but I cannot believe I'm saying this but I actually miss the rain. We are in full swing of Christmas break. One great perk of being a teacher is getting christmas break, spring break and of course summer break. We have been busy doing so much things that's happening around our neighbourhood. I wanted to share some fun ideas that don't cost a whole lot and make some great family memories. 1. Be

Bad mom
These past couple of weeks have been really hard... I've been solo parenting while hubs is working long days in the city I've been manning the house solo. And more than I'd like to admit, I've done some yelling and loss my sh*t a few too many times. And I've been feeling like the worse mama. At the end of most nights I'm laying in bed and feeling so guilty of how I should of handled the whole situation instead of yelling at my little girl. Some nights I've cried as I looked a

Selfish mama???
No one ever tells you how truly selfless it is to be a mom. Sure they tell you how amazing motherhood is and how it's changed your life for the better, but what they don't tell you is how your never going to the bathroom alone, your bed is no longer yours or that most of your meals are the kiddos leftovers. Now I don't want to scare you off and have you think okay motherhood sucks, it's true motherhood is so amazing. It has truly changed my life and not to sound like a cliche

Everything Colic
When your baby is around three weeks old or in my case it started as soon as we got home from the hospital, some things you may notice are sudden bouts of crying for absolutely no reason and nothing seems to make it stop; I tried all sorts of things to help this little guy feel better, you name it I tried it. In the midst of it all it was quite stressful, and being a mama the second time around I thought I had a good idea of how to care for a baby, I was so wrong, this little

Alternatives to a double stroller
When I was pregnant with baby number one, I immediately started looking/researching for stroller and I also looked at the options if the strollers could convert to a double stroller because I knew we wanted more babies in the future. After lots of research I had narrowed it down to a handful. I knew I didn't wanted the typical large double stroller (you knew the two seats next to eachother) and I wanted to be able to fit through doors so that helped with narrowing down my lis

Baby & Toddler Sleep solutions
Now that I've had two babies with two completely different sleeping habits and through trial and error I've found some great techniques to help with fussy non sleeping kiddos. With my little girl, she was the "dream" baby, I would have to wake her up so she would eat, she rarely if ever cried, calm and was always able to self soothe. Yup that's her above, we were just about to leave the hospital. After 39 hours of labor and an emergency c-section she finally came into the wor
