DIY cleaning Recipes

For the New Year instead of making unrealistic goals I stick with things that I know I can stick with. And one goal is to start making my own cleaning products and stay away from the chemically stuff at the grocery stores. I am sharing some great recipes that are safe for your kiddos to join in if they'd want to help with the cleaning.

- 10 drops of lemon essential oil
- 1/2 cup of water

- 2 tbsp of rubbing alcohol
- 5 drops of peppermint essential oil

- 1/4 cup of baking soda
- 5 drops of clove essential oil
- 3 drops of water

Sink scrub
- 2 cups of baking soda

Mildew Cleaner
- 1 cup of water

- 2 tsp of tea tree oil
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
Hardwood floor cleaner
- 1/2 cup of white vinegar
- 1 gallon of warm water
- 2-3 drops of lemon essential oil
Besides these great all natural cleaners. We bought a steam mop to get rid of allergens since I suffer from so many kinds of allergies and my kiddos as well we thought it was such a great product to get.

Some benefits of a steam mop
- Steam mop kills at least 99.9% of bacteria we can't even see
- Its eco friendly
- Steam cleaning dries faster than traditional mopping
- You won't need any toxic detergents to clean your household
- Can get rid of hard to clean stains without scrubbing
