12 Days of BLOGMAS

We are going to do something fun this HOLIDAY and doing something called "12 Days of BLOGMAS" I initially wanted to do a fun post for this whole month. But being a working mom and doing the solo parenthood most weekdays, this version of blogmas is a little more doable. Kicking off our first day of BLOGMAS, I am sharing some yummy treats that your kiddos will definitely love.

{Check out the seasoned mom for more yummy recipes}

Total Process 20 minutes Yields 16 cake pops

- 2 (6.2 ounce) boxes Rice Krispie treats 16 bars)

- 16 popsicle sticks

- 1 package white chocolate chips

- Sprinkles and decorating supplies of your choice

- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper

- Unwrap each of the Rice Krispie bars and gently slide a popsicle stick into the center of each one.

- Place bars on prepared baking sheet.

- Put all of the white chocolate chips in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave for an additional 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until the chocolate has just melted (careful not to burn it!).

- To coat the entire bar, just dip the pop into the bowl of white chocolate. Alternatively, use the back of a spoon or a knife to spread the melted chocolate onto the top of each bar.

- Place bars back on parchment paper and decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

- Place in refrigerator until chocolate is firm.

Prep time 20 minutes Cooking time 15 minutes Yields 20 cookies

{the easiest recipe of them all and check out BETTY CROCKER FOR MORE RECIPES}

- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

- 1 egg

- 1 container (12 oz) fluffy white frosting

- Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.

- Frost and decorate 1 cookie at a time. After spreading frosting on cookie, add licorice for band of earmuffs and candies for ear "covers" and snowman face.

Total time 20 minutes Yields 20 trees

{Check out for more yummy ideas}

- large pack of long pretzel sticks

- large pack of chocolates (different colours)

- Take tree decorating to delicious new heights with this easy candy craft.

- Melt a 12-ounce bag of white chocolate chips according to the package directions (this makes enough for about 18 trees). If you like, use food coloring to tint the chocolate.

- Transfer the candy to a squeeze bottle or a ziplock bag with one corner snipped off. Form the frame of each tree by arranging three pretzel sticks in the shape of an arrow on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

- Pipe on overlapping rows of chocolate, then top with colored sprinkles or sparkling sugar. Let the candy set before serving.

Prep time 30 minutes Yields Dependant on how large bag of marshmallows are

- 1 child to crush candy canes (optional, but fun) - large marshmallows - mini candy canes - melted chocolate

- crushed candy canes DIRECTIONS: - Stick a mini candy cane into the large marshmallow.

- Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate, allow excess chocolate to drip off, then roll into the crushed candy cane.

- Place on a waxed paper lined baking sheet and allow to set.

- 64 small pretzel twists

- 64 semisweet chocolate chips (about 1/4 cup)
