12 Days of BLOGMAS (Day 11)

Christmas morning doesn't have to be a stressful day. I will be sharing yummy easy serve yourself breakfast options. These options will be easy to prepare and taste yummy as everyone trickles in for the morning and makes their own meals.

YOGURT BAR

This healthy do it yourself SELF SERVE station is the easiest of them all. Get a giant bowl of different yogurt flavours (such as plain, vanilla, mango or strawberry) and get different yogurt textures such as greek or regular. As for the toppings, the list is endless. You can have lots of different berries, nuts, granola, dried fruits, chocolate chips and different options of fresh fruit.

BAGEL BAR

Another easy breezy breakfast option is a BAGEL BAR. Same idea as the yogurt bar above. Choose a variety of bagels such as plain, 12 grain, etc the list is endless when it comes to the different bagel options. As for the sides, you can stick with the classic toppings, such as cream cheese, peanut butter, butter, as well as tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, radishes, onions, etc... Also keep in mind about allergies so getting gluten free bagels may be a good option as well as a variety of cream cheese flavours such as strawberry, smoked salmon, etc.

WAFFLE BAR

This may be the only breakfast option that will take a little more prep time. You can make all the waffles ahead and keep them warm in the oven as everyone comes in to choose their own breakfasts to make. With this breakfast bar, you can get really creative with the toppings. You can put the usual sweet options such as maple syrup, peanut butter, jam and Nutella and add yummy chocolate chips, sprinkles, coconut flakes, berries and bananas. Or you can go a bit savory as well and add ricotta cheese, nuts, seeds or dried fruit.

OATMEAL BAR

Last but not least, doing an oatmeal bar may be the one option your guest may not expect but be pleasantly surprised. And don't be afraid, its actually quite easy to prepare. You basically soak the oats in milk overnight and in the morning, pop the oats into a crock pot and that's it your done. Now for the toppings, this is also quite easy. You can put out dried fruit, nuts, seeds, berries, fresh fruit such as apples and bananas, coconut flakes, maple syrup, honey and cinnamon. Really you can place out any topping that you'd think your guest may enjoy.

I hope this helps with some easy recipe ideas to make Christmas morning a lot less stressful. What are some of your hacks or tricks you use to make life a little easier during the holidays.
