Ice cream, we all scream for ice cream

I cannot believe it's already the end of June and we've finally got some summer weather. It's been actually cold and rainy for the most part in the June so now that the heat and sun is finally here we've been trying out a lot of different ice cream shops to tell you about the favourite spots we've found. I mean all of the research has been hard work LOL, okay maybe not but we've done a lot of testing out and have narrowed it down to a few places. The first spot has to RAIN OR SHINE Ice cream (what a cute name), this spot is not only local, but they use local ingredients from small dairy farmers in the lower mainland.

The second spot is EARNEST Ice cream, they launched in 2012, they make small seasonal batches, they pack pints of ice creams in returnable and reusable glass jars. Reuse is a part of their goal of being a zero waste company. And if you can't make it to one of their ice cream shops, you can find their jars in independent shops and restaurants around Vancouver.

Now another shop that we quite love and venture to is LEAPIN LIZARD Ice cream right near the water at White rock beach. They have the yummiest and creamiest ice cream you'll find. They also source their delicious more than 50 flavours of ice cream from a local ice creamery here in BC. And this place is such a hidden gem, they don't even have a website, so unfortunately I cannot put a link in for you to see this local gem, but I promise you, you won't be disappointed if you venture out to Whiterock beach to this little gem of a place.

If your more of a soft serve ice cream fan, than you'll love SOFT PEAKS, they specialize in "handcrafted" soft serve ice cream made with avalon organic milk, all of their ingredients are all organic, non gmo ingredients and they even source local farmers for their premium toppings they use on the soft serve peaks. And to top it all off they also support the BC Children's Hospital by donating partial proceeds from their sales.

Thank you for reading along, please comment below and let me know if you have a favourite ice cream shop that you love here in BC.
